Blackpink - a rising girl group in Kpop

I am almost sure the most of us have heard about the concept kpop, also known as korean pop, so I am here today to show you the group I stan the most. B L A C K P I N K

On August 8th 2016 a new kpop girl group was born under the company YG consisting of four beautiful girls with each of their own personalities and skills. Rosé, Lisa, Jisoo and Jennie, who have since then continued to gain popularity not only in South Korea, but mostly internationally. Let me give you just two reasons why.

1. Name, concept and social media
The name Blackpink consists of two colors, black and pink, which refers to the two sides of their concepts. Black being the more edgy, hardcore and wild side, which their entertainment company YG is widely known for, where pink refers to the more flowery, girly and cute style both in music and their MV's. This gives the group not only a unique name, but an opportunity to mix these styles together into their own identity. And if you are a fan you have the opportunity to call yourself a blink. You never know what to expect. Blackpink recently had a comeback with their new album Square Up, and finally began their own personal Instagram account where we can follow them on their adventures. Many companies have strict rules as regarding diet, social media and such, and some may argue YG Entertainment is one of the strictest, but being amongst the few big groups with access to social media it gives something to their popularity. In less than 3 months Lisa as an example has over seven million Instagram followers.

Jennie's Instagram

2. Members and nationalities
Despite their bubbly personalities and different compencies, it is clear their nationalities and language skills gives them a definite advantage in relation to international fame.

The first members introduced to the group was Jennie, also nicknamed Jendeukie amongst other things, has spent five years of her life in New Zealand prior to being born in South Korea, which gives her the ability to speak English on a native level. Jennie is the lead dancer and main vocalist.

The second member introduced to the group is the rapper and excellent dancer, Lisa, who was born in Thailand. She was only one to pass the audition when YG was seeking trainess in Bangkok, 2010. This meant she had to start learning an entire new language from the day she arrived in South Korea, Lisa has shed light on this experience before, and thanked her members for helping her. Lisa can also speak English.

The third member is Jisoo, who is known for her good looks (face of the group, visual) and her stunning vocals (main vocalist). Jisoo was born in South Korea, but can also conversate in Chinese. When you see Blackpink doings broadcasts or tv shows Jisoo will sometimes say a word or two in English, and with the help and all the encouraging from her members, blinks believe she is better than she is, but needs confidence in speaking English. I am sure she will conquer that fear.

Rosé, the last member to be revealed, was raised in Australia and moved back to South Korea in 2012, which means she is excellent in English and has the cutest accent out there. While Lisa had to start from the bottom of learning Korea, Rosé had learned it from her parents, which means Lisa actually is slightly better at speaking Korean than Rosé. Rosé is known for her sweet vocal as main vocalist and sharp moves as the lead dancer.

In addition all the members can speak Japanese, which help them even further when they are on tour in Japan. In the end the entire group draws people in from the entire world.

This was just two reasons why their popularity is skyrocketing these past years, there are many more. I suggest you check out their newest comeback here

The secret world of Virtual Popstar

Two years ago a beloved site named Gosupermodel closed down and left many teens and early adults in distress because they had nowhere to share opinions, dress up their avatars and befriend people no more. Before the news of the site closing down some people discovered another site called Virtualpopstar.com, which is where most of the players of Gosupermodel are roaming now. Virtualpopstar is similar and has almost all the same functions. About 300-400 girls and boys log on every single day and it's great. Like gsm the enitre site is filled with different people with different ages, personalities, preferences and nationalities. Gsm was also known for drama, controversies, fun, friends, competitions, designers and so much more, and so is Virtualpopstar.
Gsm was directed towards younger teens, but because it closed two years ago the players have grown, which is why most of the people on Virtualpopstar, VP, are pretty much 16+ with some exceptions.
Virtualpopstar has a few servers like German and Dutch, but most people resign at the English versions. Here you will find people from Denmark, Finland and many more, which gives an opportunity to meet new people and talk about cultural differences. It's also a place where you go to complain about literally everything.

Do you want to get new friends, dress up your avatar, create upopular opinions, discuss relevant matters, write blogs, share music or movies, shop in the market plaza or something else? This is where.

Top continued series

I spend a lot of time watching series on online streaming sites and today I'll share some of my favourites that are still airing.
They are though not necessarily in correct order, I share many genres and therefore love each show in different ways.
- I will be making another list in the future of series who haven't continued - there's some good ones out there as well.

Game of thrones - Dragons and a guy that knows nothing
The walking dead
Vikings
The big bang theory
Awkward
Faking it
Z Nation - I would call this a pretty good dupe for The Walking Dead, it's different but it works.
Outsiders - Incest on a mountain, take a look.
Shannara Chronicles
The 100
Zoo - What if I told you the animals have had enough?
Orange is the new black
American Horror Story - this used to be a favourite of mine, but since season 4 it has become more of an aquired taste you have to take a look at yourself.
How to get away with murder
Fear the walking dead
Special Victims Unit
Bob's Burgers¨
The CSI series
Underground
Transparent
Banshee

- I will be adding as I remember.

Things do to on a hot summer day

Summer is over us and we're starting to adapt to the wheather, but what can you do in such hotness? Here's a few things you might do when the sun hits your body.

1. The park - it's a great place to do sunbathing, or even a nice picnic, lots of options there. Perhaps there's some dogs to cuddle with?

2. Explore - in winter we spend most of the time inside, but what about the green paradise out there? Go hiking and perhaps you'll find your own hiding in the shadow to spend the summer.

3. Road trips are the ultimate gift, even if it's with friends or spending time with the family, it's a great alternative to a day at the expensive amusement park.

4. Did someone say fire? It often gets colder in the evening, but there's still time to spend and there's no better way to do it than building a bunfire. S'mores anyone?

5. Balloons? Let's try something a bit funnier, fill them with water and let the fun begin. Build a fort of garden furniture and arm your family or friends with waterballoons or even waterguns? Ah, almost the best way to get wet.

6. Talking about water, the beach is a nice alternative to get some tan or play games. Even the dog can join and perhaps it will end with a barbeque?

7.  Movie night outside? Gather your laptop and enjoy a latenight movie in your garden, bring your blankets, delicious snacks and your laptop. If you're not into movies find a field and watch the stars and have a beer.

8. Speaking of snacks and lovely company a great alternative is to make them yourself. Since it's a perfect opportunity to be outside, bring a table and some basic kitchen essentials and do it outside with your loved ones. There's nothing better to do than making the family members engage in activity together. A quick salad, perhaps?

9. I don't know about you, but sailing has always been one of my favourite things and it still is. In my hometown renting a pedalo or a rowboat is easy, and it also trains legs or arms depending on what you choose. It's fun and cheap, can we please eat an icecream after this? Be careful not to fall in the water.

10. Make your own race or games? Who will be the first to cross the hill or who can eat the most? It's good for the competitive ones and even funnier if there's some kind of punishment. Customize it as you want.

Your town always has something to sign up for, it's worth a shot.
- These are only a few of the suggestions, keep tuned for more.
